I don’t blog often about my personal life very often on this blog. I have occasionally shared photos of my little family but today I wanted to share a little bit about me. I get to know so many of my clients stories weather its photographing their wedding, newborn or even just during our conversations during a family photo session. I love hearing everyone’s stories from love stories, family memories, or the triumphs and tragedies that come along with life.
Here is part of my story- 6 years ago this past November my love story began. I met my husband on a blind date (set up by my cousin and Jeremy’s mom). From the first date it was one of those relationships that was just so easy and natural. Our first date we ended up getting lost driving around for hours and I just remember laughing and have a good time… what started out as a coffee date soon became dinner and a movie too! At the end of the night I was so nervous that as I was getting out of the car I made this statement that Jeremy’s still teases me for I said ‘Give me a call sometime, or not.’ I got out of the car and closed the door. I couldn’t believe I had said that I really wanted him to call me but like I said I was nervous. Anyway exactly 1 year almost to the day that we met we were married 11.11.06. Our ‘pre-kid’ years had its ups and downs. Finally, we were able to get pregnant in October 2010 this past July we welcomed our bundle of joy. Carsen James has changed my heart, changed my life and changed my world. He has taught me a love that I never knew existed and already taught me a patiences that I never thought I could have {he had horrible colic the first 5.5 months of his life screamed hours and hours a day}. I tell you all these things so you can get to know me. I wanted to share these photos that I took last week during our crazy snow/ice storm here in the Seattle area. I got 5 straight ‘snow days’ with my boys and they were so wonderful, sure 2 of them were camping out in our living room by the light of the fireplace because we didn’t have power but they were glorious.
